Designing your monitoring equipment and software

Years ago, this was unthinkable – now, it’s a reality. Whether you’re at home, in the office, or on the move, you can monitor virtually anything with our modern remote monitoring solutions.

We can design and build you a complete remote monitoring system to monitor your plant/equipment including:

We have produced IoT projects for clients that monitor:

  • Temperature, Health and power usage for commercial fridges and freezers
  • Commercial water meter usage for water companies
  • Staff Timekeeping at multiple sites
  • Fire Sprinkler systems and ensure they comply with legislation
  • Gas Lamps in London
  • Plant rooms in buildings and leisure centres
  • a network of void properties with alarm systems
  • Commercial Generators on hire, and their use

A real-world example:

One of our clients sold commercial walk-in fridges and freezers. They noticed the units were using too much electricity and breaking down too soon, so we helped them monitor a few key things:

  • Internal temperature

  • Power consumption

  • Door status

  • Liquid and evaporator temperatures

Within weeks, the problem became clear, staff were propping doors open during busy periods. The result? Massive energy waste and overworked equipment. Once the client saw the data, they fixed the issue and cut their running costs dramatically.

Remote monitoring

What it's all about

Many of our clients use our IoT (Internet of Things) systems to keep an eye on equipment across multiple sites. Before this tech existed, engineers had to visit each location just to make sure everything was running smoothly; topping up fluids, checking performance, and fixing problems after they happened. That’s time-consuming, costly, and often unnecessary.

IoT changes that.

By connecting your equipment to the internet, you can see how it’s performing in real time, wherever you are. It helps cut down on travel, energy costs, and breakdowns, while giving you a clear picture of what’s actually going on day to day.

Why IoT makes sense

IoT isn’t just about saving time, it’s also about staying compliant.

We’ve built systems for restaurants that must prove their fridges stay below safe temperatures, and for building managers who need evidence that fire sprinklers are tested regularly. The data is logged automatically, so there’s no paperwork or guesswork.

There are also clear cost savings.

Remote monitoring cuts unnecessary travel, fuel use, and maintenance visits, engineers only go when there’s an actual problem. That means less wasted time and more efficient use of staff.

It also helps ensure equipment is being used safely and correctly.

By tracking usage patterns, you can see if something is being misused or overworked, preventing damage and reducing the risk of accidents.

If it can be measured, it can be monitored

Remote monitoring gives you visibility, not just over machines, but over the way your business actually operates.

It spots issues early, whether it’s equipment under strain or simple human habits that drive up costs.

Take staffing, for example. Managing teams across multiple locations can be tricky, especially when it comes to tracking attendance and work hours. One large cleaning company we worked with was spending huge amounts of admin time trying to confirm who was on-site and when.

We developed a battery-powered GSM unit that could be placed at each location and easily moved as needed. Each staff member used a unique key fob to clock in and out, with all the data automatically uploaded to the cloud. This gave Head Office real-time visibility of staff attendance across every site;  no paperwork, no chasing, no uncertainty!
