3D printing is ideal for creating prototypes and custom brackets due to its speed, precision, and cost-effectiveness. Our 3D printing services enable rapid production and quick iterations, ensuring your products are fine-tuned before full-scale manufacturing. This process reduces material waste and lowers costs, making it perfect for custom parts and functional prototypes tailored to your specifications.
We have used 3D printers to create:
2012 saw the rise in popularity of 3D printers, and as a large number of our projects require custom brackets, enclosures and parts, we knew it would be a fantastic investment for our customers.
We upgraded to an Ultimaker 2, which in late 2016 we then upgraded to an Ultimaker2 + to allow use to print better quality parts with a higher level of accuracy. In 2019, we added a Raise3D Pro2 professional 3d printer to our equipment giving us the capability to 3d print a solid cube with 30cm sides if required.
At Winter & Smith, we take innovation a step further by 3D printing circuit boards before manufacturing them. This gives our customers a tangible preview of the product, helping them visualise the size, layout, and connector access before the final build.
It’s all about giving our clients confidence in the design and ensuring everything fits and functions exactly as planned, long before production begins. It’s just one more way we go the extra mile to deliver precision and clarity throughout the entire process.
