This small board was designed to sit inside a water control valve and report its status to a monitoring system. It did more than just check if the valve was open or closed, it could also detect if the wiring had been damaged or shorted, such as by accidental drilling.
This made it a true monitored alarm circuit, ideal for high-reliability applications!
And what started as a quick design turned into a long-term success with over 5,000 units manufactured…
A client had prototyped a system to turn on an LED strip using a Raspberry Pi, but that approach was costly and excessive for such a simple task…
We redesigned the board from the ground up using low-cost microcontroller components. We also created the firmware and PC-side control software, resulting in a compact, USB-powered LED control solution that was both efficient and affordable.
This project started with a client’s early-stage prototype; a full schematic and bill of materials. They needed a production-ready PCB that could pass regulatory testing.

An equipment manufacturer needed a very tiny board, just 1cm x 3cm, that could fit inside an existing device. It had to be easily configurable, durable, and simple to install.

What do you do when you’ve got thousands of cash machines out in the world – but no one carries cash around anymore? That was the challenge facing one client, whose coin-operated units were seeing a drop in usage. They sourced a contactless card reader, but needed a way to connect it to their original system without a full redesign.
We designed a plug-in interface that slotted neatly into the ribbon cable between the coin system and main board, allowing both old and new payment methods to work together. A simple fix, now rolled out to over 2,000 machines.
